This Programme is designed with a view to equipping the students with the theoretical and practical background of the nature, scope, theories and value systems embedded in Social Work. It provides the philosophical and underlying principles of Social Work as a humanitarian field of practice devoted to the service of the welfare of human kind. It examines the primary Social work values and embraces the concept that society has an obligation to ensure that people have access to resources, services and opportunities they need in order to meet various life goals and realize their aspirations and roles in a given society.
Entry Requirements
Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level subjects including English & Mathematics, or any qualification/ experience judged to be the equivalent to the above for admission purposes.
The Cavendish University Foundation programme is a pre-requisite entry to first year.
Exemptions
Direct entry to the Second or final year of the three year course is possible, provided candidates has either a recognised Advanced Diploma Qualification and/or An equivalent qualification acceptable to the CUZ.
